Some Colorful Inspiration!

I find this time of year with all the grey, white, and black outdoors i am drawn to color... Lots of color! Mixing patterns and vibrant shades is my way to stay cheery with just a bit of pep in my step. I may get a few eye rolls and odd stares along the way, but I don't mind especially. Well not unless it's because of parsley in my teeth. hehe

Since my camera people are fresh out of time this week I am left without any outfit photos of my own. I am still working on teaching my two-year-old how to take photos... but so far all his pictures have been zoomed in on my nose (not flattering). Hopefully soon!!! Fanfare!!!

But in the meantime I have scoured Pinterest for some ultra colorful ideas for totally doable ways to wow and impress all your friends. Orrrrrr maybe just some lovely inspirations to spark some creativity of your own. Please enjoy! Cheers!

Style: Leather Skirts!

There are lots of items of clothing that can instantly take your style up a notch (or a few notches). The hard thing is finding one type of clothing that flatters everyone and still looks ultra spiffy. Look no further! The leather skirt is that item of clothing that literally has something for everyone. Most people associate leather skirts with the ultra mini and/or ubber tight versions that only movie stars and models can look amazing in. But as you can see from the pictures there are way more options.

There are color option: Green, red, blue, black, grey, etc. But even more intriguing is the wide variety of shapes; Long to short, full and slim, tiered and pleated, quilted and laser cutout. The options are both fun and functional!

Make it casual by pairing it with sneakers and a sweatshirt or cozy sweater, or make it extra fancy with heels/boots and a sharp jacket. Don't be afraid to shine! :)

Random: Most Ripped 91-year-old EVER!

Whenever I hear people at the fitness center where I work complain and make excuses for not working their hardest due to their age... I think of guys like this! Now I'm not saying every old person needs to look like this to be in good shape.... But I am saying that "Dude you have to just DO it!" Don't wait for Monday. Don't wait till next week. And above all, don't give up!

Style Inspiration: The Dead of Winter!

Up here in Wisconsin there is very little on our minds besides how to stay warm. But I like to put some effort into looking cheerful and bright even in the height of dreary winter. I included some pictures I got off of pinterest to hopefully inspire you to break out of the grays and blacks of winter drab. (I did not include where these pictures are originally from because I don't know.... feel free to comment if you know).

Try wearing brightly colored pants. 

Pair with your favorite winter warm sweater or button-down shirt to keep you cozy.

Mix patterns for added interest.

Stripe pair easily with virtually any pattern, but there are plenty of other ideas too. My favorite go-to is plaid with polka dots. The key is to pair a larger pattern with a smaller one.

Use different textures.

Tweeds with lace. Leather with fur. Chunky sweaters with patterned tights. Get super creative!

Add a Colorful Scarf.

Even if you are running out the door you can still add some punch to your daily ensemble. Shown are red and yellow, but trying bright green, blue, purple, or orange is just as fabulous!

Wear a colored coat or jacket.

Adding a colored jacket instantly makes you look like a million dollars. Everyone wears neutrals, Everyone. Brights can be every bit as versatile as neutrals but four times as interesting. Try pairing them with patterns or neutrals, or even other bright colors.

Make an entrance with sparkles.

Adding a shimmery top or a glitter skirt can make a tremendous statement. Keep warm by pairing sparkles with warm tights or a cozy sweater.
